Who it's for
Anyone suffering from chronic or acute joint pain, ligament or tendon injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal discomfort.
How it works
We inject an irritant solution directly into damaged connective tissue to promote repair and strengthen weak areas. By injecting a stimulant directly into damaged or stretched connective tissue, your immune system is signaled, reigniting your body's natural healing cascade and ultimately resulting in stronger, more functional tissue. Typically, 6-8 treatments are needed, spaced 2 weeks apart.
Possible Side Effects
Prolotherapy is a relatively safe treatment when performed by a properly trained medical professional. However, there are possible side effects, which may include tenderness and bruising at the injection site, lightheadedness, and/or fainting.
Cost
$190 - $270 depending on the number of joints treated.
Who it's for
Patients with disc pathologies such as herniated or bulged discs, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, in addition to prolotherapy (called prolozone), or patients with a viral, bacterial, or fungal infection. Intravenous ozone (called major autohemotherapy) can also be used in healthy individuals to improve performance.
What to expect
When ozone is injected into a joint or muscle along with prolotherapy, a slight burning and pressure sensation is initially experienced. This dissipates very quickly, and is followed by a feeling of fullness and then relief. When administered intravenously, the ozone gas is combined with a small amount of the patient’s blood in a saline IV bag, and then reintroduced back into the body through a process called major autohemotherapy (MAH). Typically, patients feel a burst of energy after a MAH treatment, or if they are experiencing an acute illness (a cold, flu, or fungal infection), they can feel slightly worse before feeling better very soon after.
Results
Tissue regeneration, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, improved energy, infection healing/recovery.
Cost
No additional cost when added to prolotherapy. $70-$140 for major autohemotherapy (intravenous ozone)
Who it's for
Those experiencing chronic muscle tightness or those not seeing results from IMS/dry needling, massage therapy or other efforts to treat muscular pain.
What to expect
Treatments feel very similar to IMS (dry needling). Typically, TPI is included during a prolotherapy treatment at Elevate Functional Health, as our practitioners recognize the importance of not only treating the joint but also the surrounding muscles.
Results
Quick and long-lasting muscular pain relief.Tissue regeneration, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, improved energy, infection healing/recovery.
Cost
$190-$270 depending on the number of areas treated and syringes used.
